The Society
On June 21, 1991, interested citizens in Ankershagen founded the Heinrich Schliemann Friends Association.
At the first general meeting on September 21, 1991 in Ankershagen, the decision was made to name the new association
HEINRICH SCHLIEMANN SOCIETY e.V.
It is based in the idyllic Mecklenburg village of Ankershagen, which has a very special relationship with Heinrich Schliemann.
He wrote in his autobiography, which he placed at the beginning of his book "Ilios - The City and Country of the Trojans"
